The NFRC staff will continue to update this WHAT'S NEW page - at the least monthly.  Please take a moment to review the several important updates to the NFRC web site:  

• 2008 Board Election – Nominations now being accepted 
• The 2008 Board Election will open for voting in late September; however, the process has already begun with nominations currently being accepted by the NFRC offices through this Friday, August 29, 2008.    For details on the seats open for election and to download the NFRC BOD Potential Nominee Form (required to submit nominee) – access the NFRC's Board of Director's Election page . This page will continually be updated as the election proceeds.

• Who do you believe should be NFRC's Member of the Year?

• The NFRC's member of the year program shall be the principle method for saying “thank you” to those members who contribute time and effort generously.   Please take a moment to nominate a fellow member!  Additional information along with the nomination form can be found on the NFRC's Member of the Year Page.  (Nominations accepted through the end of the month)

• NFRC Summer Membership Meeting Archive
• All information for the NFRC's recent membership meeting in Chicago, Illinois will be posted to the NFRC's meeting archive site .  A meeting evaluation form, presentations, a link to the online meeting report, and a link to photos have been posted and are currently available for review.  

 

• NFRC 901-2008 Now Posted:

  Guidelines to Estimate the Effects of Fenestration on Heating and Cooling Energy Consumption in Single Family Residences.

• This document provides a guideline for estimating the effects of fenestration (such as windows, doors, and skylights) on heating and cooling energy consumption and peak energy impacts resulting from use of a specific house.   Click here to go to the NFRC's technical document page to download.

• The NFRC's Fall Membership Meeting is scheduled for November 3-6, 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida.  Links to an off-line registration form and hotel information are currently available on the NFRC upcoming meeting page .
