Scott Hanlon Joins NFRC as LAP Manager

Silver Spring, Md., June 21, 2006 – NFRC is pleased to announce that Scott Hanlon joined NFRC's staff on June 19 as its new Laboratory Accreditation Program Manager. Previously with National Certified Testing Laboratories (NCTL) in York , Penn. , Scott has more than 10 years experience in the fenestration testing industry, particularly in simulations and thermal testing. He is an NFRC Certified Simulator and has previously represented NCTL at NFRC meetings. Scott will manage the Laboratory Accreditation Program (LAP), which sets forth the requirements for testing and simulation laboratories participating in NFRC's Certification Program. He will oversee its documents and conduct annual laboratory inspections and evaluations.

“Scott's experience and inside knowledge will be a valuable asset to NFRC. We're glad to have him aboard,” said Jim Benney, NFRC executive director.

NFRC is a non-profit organization that administers a voluntary, uniform rating and labeling system for the energy performance of windows, doors, curtain walls and skylights. Its members include manufacturers, suppliers, utilities, consumer groups, representatives from the building and code industries, and government agencies.
